IF Wool

The Legend of The Wool Witch. The great sheep herders spoke of the women that would appear and start spinning the yarn right off of the sheep as if by magic. Sweaters, scarfs, gloves and hats would be left littering the fields with the smell of lanolin carried in the air.

When I think "storm", I think "mad run on donuts at the donuts store!". Of course our woodland friend scored big time and will be happy in his den with a fresh box of donuts to keep him company.

Metal Fish #5: Stranded

This is a partial scan of  the latest project I'm working on. For a totally imagined painting, I'm pretty pleased with the results. I've just been playing with values here and there for the last week, but it's about time to move on.

 I've been trying to figure out a mechanical interior view of a metal fish set in a boat shed with the ocean in the background, but my mind still hasn't settle on a clear vision yet

I think my next paint is going to be a still life. I really learn a lot from real setups. 

IF Edge

As his life is flashing before his eyes the man steps to the edge to fly. It took me awhile to come up with a concept I liked for EDGE. I ran out of time on this one. I generally like to go back to my non-digital work during the weekdays so I didn't get to push this one as much as I would have liked. It has a lot of potential though. I can see pushing the values around some more. I was trying to keep to a 3 value plan for the for- mid- and background. I'm not quite there though. Oh well...
